About

Hi, I'm Taylor!

Billions of people are hawking their wares on the Internet, but you chose to be here! That's really cool of you.

I’m a self-taught collage artist based in Austin, Texas. In an increasingly screen-heavy world, I started collaging to give me something real to do with my hands.

I'm interested in the physical things we hold onto, what we forget, and what we remember. I look for collage materials in ordinary places — estate sale garages, small town thrift stores, yard sales in my neighborhood — and I take their stories home with me to create new ones. My collages are a reflection on time passing and the ways culture, identity, and personal story are embedded in the mundane.

My Process

All of my collages are made from vintage magazines, books, brochures — anything old that you can reasonably glue to paper. My ephemera collection ranges from the 1920s through the 1990s, but I favor things from the 50s through the 70s.

I hand-cut each element and arrange and rearrange until it looks right to me. Sometimes, I rip or burn paper to mix things up. Once a collage is finished, I scan it at high resolution without digitally editing a dang thing. This preserves the subtle texture and imperfections of the source material and gives the print a layered story, like a time capsule for your wall.

My Shop

Every print is packed and shipped by me personally, and every order means the absolute world to me. My day job is corporate marketing, which is not my dream (is it anyone's?). I didn't necessarily dream of cutting up old paper and selling it on the Internet as a little girl either, but only because no one ever pitched it to me as a career path.

My point is, I really love doing this. And every order gets me a tiny bit closer to doing it more. So genuinely, thanks for being here.

If you have questions, want to chat about a piece, or just want to say hi, I'd love to hear from you.
